A Film by George Ungar
Wealthy businessman, glamourous playboy, daring adventurer - Charles Bedaux
was all these and more... much more, it turns out. The story of Charles Bedaux,
who rose to fame and wealth in the 1920's, is almost too fantastic to be true.
After making his fortune by inventing a new method for modernizing industry,
Bedaux was soon hobnobbing with the rich, powerful and famous all over the globe
- even in Nazi Germany. For leisure he planned an elaborate trek through the
Canadina Rockies, to be documented for posterity by legendary cameraman Floyd
Crosby (High Noon). But soon Bedaux's opulent world was in danger, as charges
of collaboration and treason enveloped him.
"If Charles Bedaux had not been born, F. Scott Fitzgerald would have invented
him." - Time Out New York.
"**** A brilliant illumination of a storied life still shrouded in mystery!"
- NY Daily News
