Pop is a portrait of Hy Meyerowitz, a street wise and funny 87 year-old who maintains his optimism about life in the face of old age and now Alzheimer's Disease. Photographer Joel Meyerowitz--seeing his father aging--felt the need to spend more time with him and to make sure his own son, Sasha, would better know his grandfather. On a two-week road trip from Florida back to New York City where Hy was born, the trio recaptures the fading memories of Hy's life.
