Description

A Film by Cindy Lou Johnson

Starring Irene Jacob of Red and The Double Life of Veronique, Mark Evan Jacobs and Steve Buscemi.

Trusting Beatrice is a quirky romantic comedy, starring international sensation Irene Jacob in her first English language film. Jacob plays Beatrice, a mysterious French woman with an adopted Cambodian five-year-old girl and a dark past. One day their paths cross with their upstairs neighbor Claude, a man who's had a tough day - he's lost his job and his girlfriend - and now he's accidentally burned down the apartment building they all share. Without confessing to Beatrice that he's the inadvertent arsonist, Claude offers to put up Beatrice and her daughter in his dysfunctional family's home. The two begin to fall in love, while each tries to keep hidden the secrets that threaten their future together.

"A charming romantic comedy!" - David Kronke, L.A. Daily News

"Irene Jacob - with her succulent lips and sparkling eyes easily seduces the camera!" - Michael Wilmington, LA Times
